You can start with grid charging.
A Power Tank does not require solar panels to operate. Charge its battery from a suitable AC outlet, then use the stored energy for compatible appliances. Solar adds a second way to recharge.
Match the solar setup to the exact model.
The IESS-05K10N 500W model supports up to 400W PV input. The IESS-1K20N Power Tank 1000 supports up to 1200W PV input. Both published specifications list a 60V maximum PV voltage and an 11–60V MPPT operating range.
More panel watts are not automatically better.
Panel nameplate power is measured under standard test conditions. Real output changes with sunshine, temperature, shading and installation. The station also has its own charging limit. A larger panel cannot change that limit.
Voltage and current matter.
A panel’s open-circuit voltage, operating voltage and current must suit the station. Putting panels in series adds their voltages; putting them in parallel adds their currents. Both arrangements require a check against the exact manual, including conditions that can raise open-circuit voltage.
Use the right connections.
Choose compatible connectors, correct polarity and suitable cable sizes and protection. Have your installer confirm the complete arrangement before connecting an array. Keep the station dry and ventilated while the panels receive sunlight.
How fast will the battery recharge?
Published product information describes approximately two-hour charging with a suitable setup. Actual time depends on available input, starting battery charge and conditions. Solar output changes through the day; grid and supported combined charging can offer a different recharge routine.
Ask for a complete setup.
Tell Mr. Olamide which Power Tank you want and whether you need panels, cabling or installation support. We’ll help you request a compatible package and quote the parts you need.
Compare the two panel packages.
The original Power Tank package adds one 550W panel for a total of ₦420,000. The Power Tank 1000 package adds two 550W panels for a total of ₦860,000. The panels are ₦130,000 each.
The original unit’s maximum PV input is 400W. Confirm that the manufacturer accepts the proposed 550W module on your exact station before connecting it. For the 1000W station, the two panels provide 1100W of combined nameplate capacity, within its listed 1200W PV power rating; voltage and current must still meet the unit’s limits.
